Selection Criteria
SC1 Demonstrated experience and skills in supporting students with special needs to engage in learning in the classroom.
SC2 Demonstrated capacity to supervise and support students to display positive behaviours in the playground and in extra-curricular activities.
SC3 Demonstrated high level oral and written communication skills.
SC4 Possess the technical knowledge and expertise relevant to the position. Outline any specialised areas of knowledge and experience in learning programs, or managing children with challenging behaviours.
SC5 Demonstrated capacity to provide advice and support to management in respect to the work area.
SC6 Demonstrated commitment to professional learning and growth for both self and others.

Location Profile
Kallista Primary School is nestled in Sherbrooke Forest in the beautiful Dandenong Ranges National Park, five minutes from Belgrave Station. Our community appreciates close proximity to nature, and our children enjoy clean air, and open, interesting spaces in which to play. We are very lucky to enjoy such a unique natural environment, which enhances creative play, and nurtures happy, healthy children.
Our school has a long tradition of Community Care and Connection, and provides a strong foundation for Life-long Learning. Wellbeing is central to our purpose at Kallista, and our values - Trust, Respect, Compassion, Perseverance and Creativity - underpin our relationships, policies, resource management and curriculum delivery.
In 2026 we have four classes, and offer Art, Music, Physical Education, Auslan and a Stefanie Alexander Kitchen-Garden Program.
