We have an exciting opportunity for an Agrifinance Credit Manager to join Heartland Bank Australia. In this role, you will be responsible for analysing complex credit applications, managing portfolio risk and supporting strong credit outcomes across the agrifinance business.
You will play a key role in decision‐making, stakeholder engagement and ensuring compliance with credit policy, while always acting in the best interests of our customers.

You are an experienced credit professional who enjoys working autonomously while contributing to a small, high‐performing team. You are confident making decisions, managing risk and engaging with stakeholders to achieve balanced commercial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Analyse and assess complex agrifinance credit applications
* Approve or decline requests within delegated authority
* Present credit submissions to Credit Committee when required
* Ensure full compliance with credit and collection policies
* Manage portfolio risk, arrears and delinquency activity
* Support policy development and continuous improvement
* Engage with customers, relationship managers and key stakeholders
* Conduct on‐farm visits where required
* Provide guidance and support to the broader credit team
You're a pro with
* Credit analysis and sound commercial judgement
* Managing portfolio risk and non‐compliance
* Clear decision‐making within risk appetite
* Working independently in a fast‐paced environment
Ideally, you will also bring
* Strong knowledge of livestock production in Australia
* Experience in agrifinance or rural banking
* Confidence managing arrears and recovery activity
* A relevant tertiary qualification
