About the role

As an Associate Portfolio Manager - Quantitative Enablement, you'll support the delivery of high‐quality data pipelines, analytics and technical infrastructure that underpin quantitative research, modelling and investment decision‐making across the Investment business. You'll work closely with portfolio managers, quantitative researchers and data governance teams to ensure investment data is accurate, robust and fit for purpose.

You'll join the Defensive and Liquid Assets and Portfolio Intelligence team, responsible for the strategic management of defensive and liquid assets, portfolio completion and opportunistic investments, as well as the data and analytics framework that supports ART's investment insights and decisions.

Day to day
* Perform logical and physical data modelling of investment processes.
* Execute a structured data transformation process to deliver data products to investment teams.
* Assist in the design and development of quantitative data pipelines and analytical tools to support investment decision‐making.
* Implement systems and workflows to ensure the accuracy, completeness and consistency of investment data.
* Maintain and enhance investment data quality, documentation and reproducibility.
* Contribute to investment data strategy through in‐depth research, complex analysis and actionable insights.
* Support standardised workflows to improve efficiency and reduce operational risk in data handling.
* Collaborate with Quantitative Research & Analytics and Data Governance teams to align tools and infrastructure with strategic priorities.
* Provide technical support to investment teams, including troubleshooting data issues.
* Deliver performance updates and insights to stakeholders, contributing to clear and effective reporting and presentations.
* Support governance, compliance and risk management obligations across the investment domain.

This role is a 7‐month max‐term/ secondment opportunity due to long service leave.

About you

It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too:

* You hold a Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Business, Technology or a related field, providing a strong foundation for this role.
* You bring hands‐on development experience designing, building and supporting data solutions using technologies such as Snowflake, DBT, Python or similar platforms.
* You're experienced working across analytics and software development life cycles and understand how robust processes support high‐quality outcomes.
* You have solid experience in the investment industry or a relevant investment domain, with an understanding of market trends and emerging issues.
* You demonstrate highly advanced research and analytical skills, enabling you to deliver deep insights that support investment decision‐making.
* You're a strong team player with well‐developed stakeholder management and negotiation skills, and you build trusted working relationships across the business.
* You communicate clearly and confidently, and you're comfortable presenting complex insights to senior stakeholders in both written and verbal formats.
* You have experience working in CI/CD environments, using tools such as Azure DevOps and related systems.
* You bring development experience with Azure Databricks and Synapse to support scalable data and analytics solutions.
