Job Description
The role of Social Worker – Community Support involves providing high-quality social work services to patients/clients in the Southern NSW Local Health District. This position is an integral part of the multidisciplinary healthcare team, responsible for addressing the social, emotional, and practical needs that impact patient health and recovery.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Tertiary qualification as a Social Worker
* Eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
* Proficient written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
* Extensive broad generalist knowledge, clinical proficiency, and ability to work with minimal supervision
* Ability to effectively prioritize and organize own work/caseload across a regional area
* Demonstrated commitment to professional development, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice
* Ability to lead planning and evaluation of team activities
* Ability to provide and coordinate staff and student supervision
* Current unrestricted driver's license and ability to maintain
