For Trade Qualified (First Class) Machinists and Mechanical Engineering Technicians to deliver precision metal machining for hydraulic and mechanical components within a highly regarded manufacturing environment.
A Permanent Full Time role based Monday to Friday within a stable and innovative company in the Northern Territory.
- Requires: Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Trade Qualification.
- Salary guide: $40.00 to $45.00 per hour.
- Location: Northern Territory.
Your normal day will involve:
- Machining metal parts for hydraulic and mechanical systems including shafts, pins, bushes, and cylinder parts.
- Operating lathes, mills and other machining equipment to cut, shape and drill components.
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings to ensure precise manufacture of parts.
- Measuring and inspecting components to meet millimetre-level accuracy and quality standards.
- Fabricating new replacement parts and machining worn parts back to size for maintenance and repairs.
As a Trade Qualified (First Class) Machinist, you will be highly skilled in advanced machining techniques, with a strong focus on delivering precision and quality in every manufactured part. You will utilise your expertise in interpreting complex technical drawings and applying rigorous measurement standards to ensure parts meet exact engineering specifications. This role offers the chance to work within a state-of-the-art workshop outfitted with the latest machining technology, supporting durable work for mining and industrial sectors.

You will need:
- Trade Qualification: Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Extensive experience as a First Class Machinist working with precision metal parts.
- Proficiency with lathes, milling machines and precision measuring tools.
- Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Australian Citizenship is required for this position due to security protocols.
