Job Summary
In this role, you will provide knowledge, expertise, input, training, and consultative support for the building services systems required for commissioning and startup. You will participate in work planning and packaging, turnover coordination, quality control, and environmental safety and health. You will be an essential resource for specialized technical advice as it relates to the commissioning of the building services.
Major Responsibilities
* Support of commissioning activities related to the building services of various facilities
* Plan and schedule CSU activities sequence and resource requirements for assigned areas of responsibility that will be required by contractors
* Review contractor submissions for commissioning of building services
* Review building services design related to the building services scope
* Participates in Construction to CSU turnover walkdowns for assigned areas of responsibility
* Interfaces with the Field Engineer as required to support component/system turnover
* Performs walkdowns to validate that the system configuration is in accordance with the design as required
* Identifies and resolves/elevates ES&H issues in the field and is a visible 'walk the talk' leader in good ES&H practices
Education And Experience Requirements
* Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience
Required Knowledge And Skills
* Previous experience with commissioning of building services in a public infrastructure facility e.g. airport
* Technical background in one or more building services systems
* Understanding of building systems and how to commission them
* Ability to build strong relationships with external entities and building services approval companies
* Good background using computers and basic word processing and spreadsheets
