Reporting to the Director of Sales, the role focuses on promoting Hilton Sydney to key agents, clients, and industry partners.Primary ResponsibilitiesIdentify and capture opportunities in Groups and MICE segments, focusing on past bookings and acquiring new business to meet revenue goals.Identify ancillary revenue opportunities across market segments for revenue optimization.Assist in market intelligence gathering, site inspections, events, trade shows, and networking activities, in line with revenue strategies and collaborating with the Hilton team.Job Specific CompetenciesDevelop business in GM&E and high-end leisure segments through proactive prospecting.Align sales activities with department revenue goals.Create and update detailed account plans with clear objectives.Monitor market intelligence, including competitor rates and offerings, to inform strategy.Stay informed about hotel strategies and market conditions.Explore all relevant business opportunities and participate actively in lead generation.Use tools to analyze market trends and identify opportunities.Achieve a minimum of 15 calls daily and 10 sales activities weekly.Present account performance and market intelligence at monthly meetings.Report monthly activities and support revenue planning and rate reviews.Support client relationship building through site inspections, entertainment, and familiarization trips, which may require working evenings and weekends.Qualifications and Experience:Minimum two years’ experience in a similar rolePreferably tertiary qualificationsAbility to work under management direction and as part of a teamPrevious hotel sales experience preferredSelf-motivated with strong administrative and communication skillsCustomer-focused with solution-oriented approachAbility to build relationships internally and externallyPositive team involvement and interaction at all levelsExcellent verbal and written communication skills
