**Motor Mechanic Job Description**
This role involves diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in engines and associated parts, disassembling, inspecting, and repairing vehicle components such as engines, transmissions, and steering systems. Additionally, you will replace worn or faulty parts, reassemble engines, and test repaired systems to ensure they are functioning properly. Routine maintenance tasks include oil changes, engine tune-ups, and compliance checks with pollution regulations. You will also issue roadworthiness certificates after detailed vehicle inspections, provide breakdown support, and respond to service calls. Furthermore, you will utilize diagnostic tools and computer systems to identify and rectify issues.
**Required Skills and Qualifications**
* Hold a Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent qualification.
* Have at least 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
* Possess strong diagnostic skills and experience using modern diagnostic equipment.
* Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
