Registered Nurse and/or Registered Midwife | Child and Family Health | Permanent Part-time 32 hours per week (7 days per week rotating roster) | Tresillian Virtual Residential Parenting Service (VRPS) | Belmore/ Nepean
Tresillian is recruiting for an experienced and motivated Child and Family Health Nurse to join a dedicated team delivering the Virtual Residential Parenting Service (VRPS). The VRPS provides flexible access to intensive early parenting services using telehealth technology, focusing on building parenting confidence and positive parent–child relationships and coordinating wrap-around support across NSW.
This position contributes to quality child and family health services for families with children aged 0–3 years, within the Tresillian model of care, practice principles, and the NSW Health Professional Practice Framework for Child and Family Health Nursing. The clinician uses a strength‑based and wellness approach, supports parents with information, education, resources, guidance and role modeling safe responsive care, and works with families to identify needs and plan discharge pathways.
The role operates within a multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care and alignment with the NSW SafeStart principles.
Responsibilities
- Provide quality child and family health services to families with children 0–3 years within the Tresillian model of care.
- Utilise evidence‑based screening and assessment tools and family partnership skills to identify health variations or family vulnerabilities.
- Develop individual care plans and discharge pathways to meet family goals, in collaboration with other services to ensure wrap‑around support.
- Deliver information, education, resources, guidance and role modeling to build parental confidence and skills with a focus on safe, responsive care.
- Contribute to team planning and delivery of the Virtual Residential Parenting Service (VRPS) using telehealth technology.
Qualifications
- Current authority to practice as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Midwife with AHPRA.
- Postgraduate/post‑registration qualifications in Child and Family Health.
- Understanding of evidence‑based practice and ability to apply it in care delivery.
- Demonstrated experience addressing the physical, social and emotional needs of children and their families.
- Knowledge of population health and primary health care principles.
- Understanding of multidisciplinary teamwork and NSW SafeStart principles.
- Effective verbal and written communication and computer literacy meeting relevant standards.
- Current NSW Driver’s Licence Class C.
