We are currently hiring for the role of Deskside Technician – End User Computing (EUC) based in Toowoomba, Australia.
Role Overview:
The Deskside Technician will be responsible for providing onsite technical support, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of end-user computing devices and peripherals. This role requires hands‐on expertise in resolving hardware and software issues while ensuring adherence to defined SLAs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide onsite operational and technical support to end users
* Troubleshoot and resolve incidents related to EUC equipment
* Install, upgrade, and maintain desktops, laptops, monitors, and peripherals
* Support network connectivity (LAN/WAN), printers, scanners, and mobile devices
* Perform break/fix support for hardware and software issues
* Configure IP addressing, TCP/IP, and device connectivity
* Deliver VIP support for critical users and devices
* Manage printer configurations and queues
* Track and report issues using problem management tools
* Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Required Skills & Experience:
* 1–3 years of experience in End User Computing / Deskside Support
* Strong knowledge of imaging tools (Ghost, MDT)
* Experience with data backup and recovery tools (USMT)
* Hands‐on expertise in Windows 7/10 installation, deployment, and migration
* Knowledge of hardware configuration, network connectivity, and system maintenance
* Experience supporting mobile computing environments
