TS Staffing are delighted to be partnering with Yilgarn Iron for the restart of the Yilgarn Iron Ore Hub.
We are seeking an experienced HSE Manager to lead the site and corporate HSE function, with a solid focus on environmental management, compliance, and team leadership.
About the Role
This is a senior HSE role with overall accountability for both safety and environmental performance. You will manage a small team of 6 advisors (3 environmental, 3 HSE) and provide guidance across operational, exploration, and rehabilitation activities. The role is primarily office-based but will require regular site visits to provide leadership, oversight, and assurance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the HSE team to develop, implement, and maintain site-wide and corporate HSE and environmental systems.
- Ensure compliance with WA mining and environmental legislation, including approvals, permits, and reporting obligations.
- Manage environmental obligations such as dust, noise, water management, flora and fauna monitoring, and incident response.
- Oversee site HSE performance, including contractor management, audits, inspections, and toolbox sessions.
- Provide practical advice to operational teams and contractors, ensuring environmental and safety risks are appropriately controlled.
- Develop HSE and environmental KPIs, reporting dashboards, and assist with management reporting.
- Coach, mentor, and build capability within the HSE and environmental team.
- Support leadership in embedding a positive HSE culture across site and corporate operations.
What We’re Looking For
- Degree in Health and Safety is essential.
- Master’s in Health and Safety highly desirable; environmental qualifications advantageous.
- Extensive HSE experience in mining operations, with strong environmental awareness.
- Experience managing a small team of HSE and environmental professionals.
- Sound knowledge of WA mining, health, safety, and environmental legislation and compliance frameworks.
- Practical site experience with contractor engagement, audits, incident investigation, and reporting.
- Strong communicator, able to engage with operational teams, leadership, and regulators.
Location & Conditions
- West Perth based with regular travel to Yilgarn site.

- $200 - 240k Plus Super
