Job Description
We are a fast growing high school coaching hub and currently looking for enthusiastic English, Math, Science teachers, or uni students to join our team. Prior tutoring experience is preferred, and all you need to be is passionate about helping kids and be highly competent in the area you're teaching in. Training will be provided. We need tutors that are able to teach Year 3-12 English
Knowledge of other subjects: Chemistry, Physics, Economics and Maths will be seen as a bonus
If you are successful, you will be offered a highly competitive hourly rate and guaranteed minimum hours per week.
What will you be doing?
* Teaching small-medium sized classes and tutorials (~ 3-8 students)
* Producing lesson notes (resources & materials will be provided)
* Creating weekly quizzes and marking homework
If you would like to work for more hours, extra work can be negotiated
Expected to work at least 2-3 days a week (approx 6-15 hrs), which can vary depending on your timetable (although we will try to accommodate as best we can, it'll need to be flexible around our business needs). More hours can be discussed/negotiated.
Qualification(s) required
A great deal of the work we perform requires specific knowledge of the education system in NSW. As a result we require applicants to have understood / have completed the NSW HSC, others not meeting this requirement will NOT be considered.
To succeed in this role you will need minimum marks (or equivalent) of HSC English Advanced 92+
Be willing to travel to our location in Glebe/Bondi Junction.
Bondi Junction is conveniently situated 5 mins walk from the train station. Glebe branch is conveniently situated 10 mins by bus/ light rail from Central Station; 20 mins walk from USYD
Ability to commit a minimum 6 hours per week
Open-minded to the training we provide and how we do things, reliable, confident, able to work without supervision, and punctual.
Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 48 months
Pay: $35.00 – $75.00 per hour
Expected hours: 6 – 18 per week
