About the Role
Monash Urology is the largest and busiest urology unit in Australia, providing emergency and planned services across Casey Hospital (Berwick) and Moorabbin Hospital. We offer a successful pathway for Unaccredited Registrars to obtain clinical exposure and surgical experience, supporting acceptance onto the National Accredited Training Program. The unit handles high‐volume exposure to complex uro‐oncology, stone surgery, and general urology for adults and paediatric patients.
About You
* Motivated and capable registrar with a strong interest in Urology and commitment to patient‐centred care.
* Preparing for Urology SET training and looking to consolidate clinical, operative, and academic experience in a high‐volume, supportive environment.
* Minimum of 12 months' experience in urology‐specific roles at resident level or above.
* Demonstrated commitment to pursuing Urology SET.
* Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Your Responsibilities
* Assessment and management of urology patients under consultant supervision.
* Coordination of inpatient and outpatient care.
* Communication with patients and their families.
* Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
* Supervision and teaching of interns and HMOs.
* Involvement in medical student teaching.
* Contribution to clinical leadership and service improvement initiatives.
Essential Requirements
* Registration with AHPRA (eligible for Level 3 supervision).
* Experience in core urological procedures (ureteric stenting desirable).
* Strong clinical, organisational and communication skills.
