SAG Workforce is offering an exciting opportunity for an Administrative Indigenous Trainee to join our growing team. This role is designed to provide hands-on experience across recruitment, workforce coordination, training program support, social media marketing, and compliance administration within the civil and commercial construction sectors. About the Role Working closely with our Talent & Recruitment Director and Indigenous Engagement Manager, you will support the coordination of workers across active projects while assisting with entry-level workforce programs, candidate compliance, and business development activities. This role plays a key part in supporting SAG Workforce’s continued growth and helping connect people to meaningful employment opportunities. What You’ll Be Doing Recruitment & Workforce Support Assisting with advertising roles across job boards and social media Screening resumes and conducting initial candidate calls Coordinating interviews for open positions Supporting onboarding and mobilisation of workers Maintaining candidate records and compliance documentation Training & Entry-Level Program Support Assisting with coordination of entry-level training courses and workforce programs Liaising with participants, trainers, and community partners Supporting documentation, attendance tracking, and reporting Assisting with transitioning participants into employment Systems & Scheduling Supporting workforce scheduling using our Varicon system Updating job allocations and workforce records Assisting with reporting and workforce planning Social Media & Marketing Support Posting job advertisements across LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram Promoting careers days, expos, and workforce initiatives Supporting marketing campaigns that highlight employment pathways and community engagement Assisting with success stories and workforce promotion content What We’re Looking For Strong communication skills Organised and detail-oriented approach Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office, email systems) Interest in recruitment, HR, marketing or workforce coordination Professional attitude and willingness to learn Commitment to cultural integrity and community engagement What We Offer Structured mentoring and career development Exposure to recruitment, business operations, and workforce management Involvement in meaningful employment and community initiatives Supportive and professional team environment Clear pathway into long-term career opportunities within SAG Workforce Career Pathway Opportunities This traineeship can progress into roles such as: Recruitment Consultant Workforce Coordinator Compliance Officer Indigenous Engagement Support Marketing & Workforce Engagement If you are motivated, eager to learn, and ready to build a career in workforce and recruitment — apply today.
