Senior Cost Controller – Major Capital Projects

We are seeking a highly capable Senior Cost Controller to support a diverse portfolio of major capital projects within the Peel region. This is a hands-on role working closely with project delivery teams across multiple sites, requiring a balance of technical expertise and strong stakeholder engagement skills.

The Role
As Senior Cost Controller, you will:
- Provide cost management and project controls across a portfolio of infrastructure and resources projects.
- Support initiatives including refinery expansions, decarbonisation, efficiency upgrades, and water security programs (dams, pumping infrastructure, filtration systems).
- Deliver accurate cost forecasting, reporting, variance analysis, and financial governance across multiple live projects.
- Engage with diverse stakeholders – from contractors to asset owners – ensuring alignment on project delivery and financial transparency.
- Balance competing priorities across multiple projects, ensuring robust cost control is maintained throughout.
About You
We are looking for someone who brings:
- Demonstrated experience in cost control and project controls on complex, multi-site projects.
- Minimum 6-8 years of cost control experience on resources or infrastructure projects.
- Strong systems capability – Oracle Unifier experience advantageous (or the ability to quickly learn new systems).
- Ability to work collaboratively with both project teams on-site and senior executives.
- Flexibility to spend 60–80% of your time on-site in the Peel region, with some flexibility for office or work from home depending on project phase.
- Solid commercial acumen, communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Australian work rights are required for this position.
