Job Overview:
The position of Interventional Radiology Fellow involves working under the guidance of Consultant Interventional Radiologists to provide and assist in interventional radiology services at a medical centre.
This role requires specific experience and training in endovascular procedures, computed tomography (CT), fluoroscopic guided non-vascular intervention, percutaneous liver procedures, nephrostomy insertion, and abscess drainage.
As an IR Fellow, you will have access to meetings, lectures, tutorials, and research facilities. You will also be involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.
The successful candidate will undertake research projects/audits in relation to interventional radiology and will be encouraged to present at national and international meetings.
Attendance at appropriate clinical and multidisciplinary meetings is required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the provision of interventional radiology services.
* Participate in endovascular procedures, CT scans, and fluoroscopic guided interventions.
* Conduct percutaneous liver procedures, nephrostomy insertions, and abscess drainages.
* Engage in research projects/audits related to interventional radiology.
* Present findings at national and international meetings.
Requirements:
- Current National Police Clearance (NPC)
- Working With Children Check (DHS)
- Immunisation screening as indicated in the role description.
Educational Qualifications:
* Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent.
* Specialist Qualification and registrable as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration.
