OverviewYour next opportunityBased in Stonyfell, we are looking for a responsible and driven individual to join our team as a Concrete Laboratory Technician.
This role reports to the Lab Manager and involves undertaking tasks in relation to sampling, testing, training, supervising, maintenance of records, and reporting of results for our concrete and quarry related products.ResponsibilitiesConduct sampling of concrete samples onsiteConduct testing in accordance with laboratory work instructions, test methods, preparation instructions and manualsCalibrate laboratory equipment as requiredMaintain, observe, and take part in the statutory safety requirements of the Laboratory operationsFollow Inspection and Test Plans to carry out production and compliance testingMaintenance of the laboratory in accordance with NATA accreditation requirementsQualificationsExperience as a concrete field tester is desirableExperience within a construction-based trade is desirableA commitment to safety and qualityIn-depth knowledge of computer systems for monitoring and reporting of data (especially with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel etc)Good time management and organisational skillsAn ability to cope with competing priorities and deadlinesKnowledge of Australian and Industry standardsKnowledge or experience in Aggregates testing is an advantageCurrent driver's license; tool of trade vehicle providedBenefitsPermanent, full-time opportunityAccess to a fully funded Cert IV in Laboratory TechniquesAccess to a variety of support networks including Boral Employee Assistance ProgramA safe, caring, supportive and dynamic working environment with a focus on developing its peopleGenuine growth opportunities opportunities within Boral such as HC Truck Driver, Batcher, and Allocations
