* Band 7 ($108,364 - $120,418) + 12% super + monthly ADO

About Us

Maribyrnong City Council is undergoing significant change arising from population growth and redevelopment. A transitioning economy is leading to an influx of new residents, businesses, and employment opportunities that is seeing Maribyrnong fast becoming a sought after residential, recreation and social destination in Melbourne's inner-west.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a strategic Risk and Insurance Advisor to develop and promote a culture of best practice and continuous improvement in risk management, insurance management and business continuity within Maribyrnong Council.

You will be responsible for developing, implementing and delivering a best practice Enterprise-wide Risk Management Program and Council's Business Continuity Program, as well as managing Council's insurance program and portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

* Responsible for the strategic direction, development and management of Council's Risk Management Program, including Enterprise and Operational Risks, and their supporting systems, policies, work plans and training.
* Responsible for managing the development, implementation and maintenance of Council's Business Continuity Plan.
* Responsible for coordinating Council's Insurance Program, and Portfolio.

About You

* A relevant tertiary qualification in Risk Management and/or Business Continuity Management, or related discipline with several years of relevant experience or lesser formal qualifications with extensive relevant experience
* Experience in assessing risk and developing risk management programs.
* Experience in the techniques used in reporting, investigating and recording of claims.
* Current Victorian Drivers Licence.
* No relevant criminal record found in a Police Check.
