About the role
Freight Link Couriers' is seeking an experienced HR Truck Driver to join our team in Townsville, QLD. As a full-time Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and packages across the region, ensuring efficient and reliable delivery for our valued customers. The role is Mon-Fri, with some occasional Overtime.
What you'll be doing
1. Safely operate a commercial truck to transport goods and packages
2. Plan and execute delivery routes to ensure timely and efficient deliveries
3. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to maintain vehicle safety and compliance
4. Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients
5. Adhere to all relevant safety regulations and company policies
6. Assist with loading and unloading of trucks as needed
7. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to deliveries
What we're looking for
1. A valid Heavy Rigid (HR) driver's licence with a strong driving record
2. Experience as a commercial truck driver, preferably in the road transport industry
3. Knowledge of safe driving practices and familiarity with heavy vehicle operations
4. Excellent communication and customer service skills
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
6. Strong organisational and time management skills
7. Commitment to safety and following company policies and procedures
