Our Brooklyn yard is seeking 2 practical, hands‐on yard hands – 1 for Day shift & 1 for Afternoon Shift – to contribute to general yard activities, maintain smooth and safe daily operations, and assist customers with basic enquiries and service needs.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
* Load and unload trucks, skip bins, and trailers
* Grade, sort, and manage metals to meet operational and quality standards
* Maintain site compliance with environmental guidelines and OH&S policies
* Deliver excellent service to internal and external customers
* Operate plant equipment including material handlers, forklifts, loaders, and excavators (where licensed)
What We're Looking For
* Experience operating forklift – Licence essential
* Excavator, loader, skid steer, or other plant tickets – advantageous
* Good customer service skills
* Ability to work independently and take initiative
* Hands‐on approach and willingness to be flexible
* Strong attention to detail, reliability, and excellent attendance
* Positive, can‐do attitude and openness to training to expand skills
