Position Summary:
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Personal Care Worker (PCW) to join our team and provide non-medical care and support to clients in their homes throughout the community. As a PCW, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for those we serve by assisting with daily living activities, offering companionship, and promoting independence.
Responsibilities
* Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility
* Provide light housekeeping such as laundry, dishes, and tidying up living areas
* Prepare and serve meals according to clients' dietary needs and preferences
* Support clients with medication reminders
* Offer companionship and emotional support
* Assist with errands and transportation to appointments as needed (if applicable)
* Maintain accurate documentation of care provided
* Communicate effectively with clients, families, and the care team
* Monitor and report any changes in clients' physical, emotional, or cognitive condition to the care team or supervisor
* Follow individualised care plans and organisational policies at all times
* Promote client safety, wellbeing, and infection control practices
* Work independently while following scheduled care visits and timeframes
* Support clients with community access, including safe transport and accompaniment to appointments, social activities, and outings using own vehicle where required
Qualifications
* Certificate iii in individual support and gaed care
* Previous experience as a PCA, caregiver, or in a related field preferred.
* Cert iii in individual support or equivalent
* Working with children check
* Current First aid and CPR

* Ability to work independently and follow care plans accurately
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Reliable transportation and a valid driver's licence is must (own vehicle required; travel is an essential part of the role)
* Must be willing to undergo and pass relevant background checks and meet all state-specific requirements.
