About the Role
The Program Officer position is a fantastic opportunity to grow your career in government and be an integral part of a responsive, purpose-driven team with a focus on child safety management and response.
This role will predominantly support the Restorative Engagement and School Support Branch who supports Victorian government schools to respond to child safety incidents in schools and is delivering critical reforms to strengthen the Department's response to historical child sexual abuse in schools.
What you'll be doing:
* Coordinating team schedules, meetings, events, and communications
* Managing team inboxes and supporting key systems and processes
* Supporting budget tracking, invoices, expenses and procurement
* Calendar scheduling and phone support as and when required
* Maintaining accurate records and assisting with reporting
* Responding to enquiries from schools and corporate program areas
* Assisting with recruitment, onboarding and induction tasks
* Other duties across the Branch or Division as required

* Experience in education, government or similar environments (a plus)
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
Experience or knowledge of Victorian Government administrative processes and working with Oracle, Microsoft Office suite, SharePoint and Salesforce are beneficial and should be stated in your application, however it is not mandatory for appointment to the role.

The department plays an important system steward role by providing support, guidance, oversight and assurance across early childhood and school education systems, as well as directly providing school education and 50 new early learning centres.
About the Division
The Operational Policy, School Engagement and Compliance (OPSEC) Division has a collective focus on reducing administrative and compliance burden for schools, supporting school child safety responses, improving policy and compliance support, and streamlining the volume and timing of communications to schools.
The division has four branches:
* OPSEC Executive
* Restorative Engagement and School Support
* Policy, Advisory and School Engagement
* School Compliance
