Dispatch Officer
Ravensworth Operations
Hunter Valley, NSW
Ravensworth Operations comprises of Ravensworth Open Cut and the Coal Handling Preparation Plant that provides high quality coal for the export market. The operation has approval to mine over 14Mtpa, with a long life of mine. The Role
An opportunity exists at our operation for a Dispatch Officer to join our team. As an integral member of the mining team, you will drive a high-performance culture, role modelling and reinforce the behaviours that will underpin the success of our operation. This position is permanent full-time, where the successful candidate will work a 12.5hr rotating lifestyle roster across 4 crews to provide leave coverage.
Reporting to the Systems Coordinator, you will be primarily responsible for:
* Ensuring a safe and effective mine operation.
* Management of the Fleet Management System to maximise the utilisation of the load and haulage fleets.
* Provide an essential service communication link between production, maintenance, planning and the operation employees.
* Capturing and recoding accurate statistical data from the Fleet Management System.
* Managing and escalating site fatigue management / collision awareness / environmental system alerts.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have;
* Previous mine production experience and an extensive understanding of the mining process;
* Prior working knowledge of fleet management and mine reporting systems;
* Demonstrated strong leadership and communication skills;
* Ability to make decisions under pressure using skills in prioritisation and problem solving, whilst possessing a string sense of urgency and ability to multi-task.
