Randstad is recruiting for this immediate opportunity in the Western Suburbs of Melbourne. We are seeking a skilled Contract Technical Writer to join our client's team.
This pivotal role involves creating clear, precise, and user-friendly operational and instructional manuals for their manufacturing site.
You'll collaborate closely with engineering and production teams to ensure all documentation is accurate, compliant, and meets the highest safety standards.
What You'll Do:
* Develop and refine operational, maintenance, and installation manuals.
* Produce intuitive, visually supported instructions, including schematics, diagrams, and flow charts.
* Work directly with engineers and subject matter experts to gather and validate critical technical information.
* Ensure all documentation rigorously adheres to relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and client specifications.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Demonstrated experience as a Technical Writer, ideally within the mining, heavy equipment, or industrial pumps sectors.
A strong ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and intricate engineering data.
Proficiency with industry-standard documentation and publishing tools (e.g., Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, MS Word).
Experience in creating and seamlessly integrating technical illustrations into manuals.
Exceptional written English skills, with a keen eye for clarity and usability.
A solid understanding of WHS (Work Health and Safety) requirements.
