Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Chemistry Technician to join our manufacturing team.
The Chemistry Technician will be responsible for working behind the scenes on product development, testing, and quality control.
* Prepare reagents, solutions, and samples for testing and product trials.
* Collect, document, and retain samples of raw materials and finished products for quality and stability testing.
* Conduct laboratory tests including pH, viscosity, microbial, preservative, and stability assessments.
* Record and report test results, preparing technical data for compliance and regulatory requirements.
* Perform calculations for ingredient percentages, batch scaling, and dilution factors.
* Monitor and maintain laboratory consumables, ensuring accurate records of usage.
* Calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments and perform routine checks to ensure reliability.
Requirements:
* A science background (Chemistry, Biochemistry, or similar – Diploma level qualification or higher).
* At least one year of relevant work experience in a laboratory or manufacturing environment, ideally in skincare, cosmetics, or pharmaceuticals.
* Strong attention to detail and analytical skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records.
* A collaborative, hands-on approach with excellent organisational skills.
