Graduate Teacher Role Overview
Pentland Primary School is a rapidly expanding educational institution catering to 560 students. Situated on approximately 10 acres of land, our school boasts a diverse range of facilities, including:
* A mod grass oval/running track
* An undercover basketball/netball court
* Playgrounds and landscaped garden areas
* An orchard which we are continually improving and developing
Our school features 23 classrooms as well as art, STEAM, library, respectful relationships and music rooms. We also have a food technology room and gymnasium, with all classrooms and specialist areas being heated and air-conditioned.
Key Responsibilities
1. Implement high-impact teaching strategies, guided by how students learn, and evaluate the impact of learning and teaching programs on student learning growth.
2. Monitor and assess student learning, using data to inform teaching practice and provide feedback on student learning growth and achievement to students and parents.
3. Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and the broader school community to support student learning, wellbeing, and engagement.
4. Reflect upon practice and engage in professional learning to continually improve the quality of teaching.
5. Develop and maintain knowledge of relevant curriculum, including literacy and numeracy skills.
