This role provides onshore leadership, direction, and governance across multiple product lines, ensuring engineering teams deliver secure, high quality, clinically safe, and scalable digital health solutions. The Product Engineering Director is responsible for: -Leading engineering delivery across the Health product portfolio -Ensuring alignment between product strategy, architecture and execution -Driving consistency in engineering standards, delivery practices, and quality -Partnering closely with Product, Platform, Data, Security, and Delivery leaders -Enabling high performing engineering teams operating at scale, Define and execute the engineering strategy for Health products in alignment with business and product priorities. -Provide technical and delivery leadership across multiple product domains, ensuring solutions are scalable, reliable, and future ready. -Act as a senior engineering authority for Telstra Health, guiding architectural and design decisions across product ecosystems. -Partner with Product leadership to translate product vision, roadmaps, and customer needs into executable engineering outcomes. -Ensure engineering teams are aligned to product centric, outcome driven delivery models. -Work closely with Product Management, Platform Engineering, Data & Analytics, Security, and Operations leaders to deliver integrated solutions. -Ensure engineering efforts align with enterprise platforms, shared services, and architectural standards. -Engage with clinical, operational, and business stakeholders to ensure solutions meet real world healthcare needs. -Ensure all product engineering adheres to quality, performance, security, and regulatory standards appropriate for healthcare environments. -Embed engineering best practices, testing rigor, and reliability principles across teams. -Partner with security and compliance functions to ensure products are safe, resilient, and compliant. -Build, mentor, and lead high performing engineering leaders and teams across multiple products. -Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, continuous improvement, and learning. -Support workforce transition, onboarding, and capability uplift initiatives in line with Telstra Health's operating model evolution. -Provide engineering input into planning, prioritisation, and investment decision making. -Support capacity planning, demand management, and prioritisation across product portfolios. -Ensure responsible use of engineering capacity and alignment to commercial objectives. Position Summary: -Lead cross-functional teams (engineering, product, design) to execute product roadmaps, ensuring timely, high-quality delivery by removing impediments, managing dependencies, coordinating stakeholders, and aligning execution with product strategy, focusing on operational excellence, risk mitigation, and driving continuous improvement in Agile environments. Mandatory Skills: -PMI-ACP, PMP and SAFe certified -10 Years of experience in HealthCare Software Products. -15 Years experience in Product Engineering and Product Development/Delivery Life Cycle. -Strong understanding and working experience of Agile/Scrum methodologies. -Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. -Ability to manage complex dependencies and mitigate risks. -Data-driven mindset for decision-making and process optimization. Duties and Responsibilities: -Execution & Planning: Translate product roadmaps into actionable delivery plans, manage release cycles, and track progress against milestones and KPIs. -Team Leadership & Facilitation: Empower, coach, and manage engineering squads, acting as a servant leader to remove blockers and foster collaboration. -Stakeholder Management: Serve as the bridge between product, engineering, design, and business stakeholders, ensuring alignment and clear communication. -Process & Quality: Define and optimize delivery processes (often Agile), manage technical risks, and ensure solutions meet quality standards. -Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives to improve team efficiency, satisfaction, and the overall engineering delivery function.
