We are seeking Sous Chef to join our expanding catering & events team.
This position will suit a creative, committed chef with a passion for modern Australian cooking, who understands catering and; production.
Responsibilities include assisting the head chef in the smooth and efficient kitchen operations, maintaining high food standards, utilising your flair & previous experience to assist with menu design, ordering & the execution of external functions and events.
Requirements
The successful candidate will have:
* Experience in functions and external catering
* Manage staff effectively & efficiently
* An understanding of modern & traditional cookery.
* A strong understanding of food costs and control
* A flexible approach in adapting to guest requests
* Good interpersonal and communication skills
* Good time management skills and the ability to work well under pressure
* Successfully completed an apprenticeship
* Experience in a similar position
