Overview
ABOUT THE ROLE: As part of the Business Information Systems team, you will be provided with learning opportunities across a broad range of fields including records management, information technology and information management. The ICT Support Officer will provide technical support to KLC staff concerning day-to-day operations and support the ICT team in maintaining the ICT systems. This position operates out of the KLC Broome office and requires occasional travel throughout the Kimberley region. The ICT Support Officer role is an entry level role, classified at a KLC Level 2.0, with a base salary of $68,787.23 per annum.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to staff via email, phone, face-to-face and the IT Helpdesk System.
- Be the first port of call for all IT helpdesk enquiries, escalate when required.
- Take accountability for supporting the employee onboarding and offboarding procedures, including configuring and installing workstations, computers, and phones, conducting IT training and induction sessions, and managing asset recovery.
- Under the direction of the IT Manager, support installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems and applications.
- Schedule and deploy OS updates, critical and non-critical updates to KLC computers.
- Provide technical assistance to staff and external stakeholders in using meeting room infrastructure.
- Be responsible for maintaining and updating meeting room hardware/software.
- Assist the ICT team in the development and implementation of business-critical projects including: infrastructure upgrades for the Ranger bases; database system upgrades; electronic document and record management system(s) project; SharePoint/intranet upgrades; Customer Relationship Manager system(s) project; other upgrades and systems projects as arising.
- Build, maintain, and regularly update the ICT Asset Register.
- Occasionally travel to remote ranger bases to provide technical support, facilitate network upgrades and train end-users with software and systems.
- Ensure that all the above duties are carried out in accordance with KLC policies and procedures.

- Perform other duties consistent with the above as directed from time to time by the ICT Manager and DCEO.

6. Minimum qualification of Certificate II in ICT
7. Minimum of 1 year experience in the ICT industry, willing to learn and acquire new skills through practical experiences
8. Able to lift boxes, as required from time to time

1. Valid C Class drivers’ licence, or the ability to obtain
