About Family Violence Practitioners
Our organization seeks dedicated professionals to work in Seymour VIC, providing face-to-face support and facilitating referrals for clients experiencing family violence.
The Role Overview
* You will work closely with clients during their stay at the refuge, typically up to 8 weeks, assisting with safety planning, advocacy, and support in navigating the housing exit process.
* You will manage referrals from Safe Steps (24/7 referral service) and other direct referrals, advocating for clients within the broader family violence sector and connecting them with appropriate external agencies.
* You will work alongside clients on life planning, including getting children into education, connecting with healthcare providers, and other essential services.
* You will oversee the management of 4 properties, ensuring they are safe and supportive environments for clients.
Requirements
* A degree in Social Work or an equivalent qualification is required.
* MARAM Training
* Previous experience within Family Violence is preferred.
* Critical thinking and the ability to apply theoretical knowledge to practice.
