As Coach you will be instrumental in supporting the whole school to align its values, beliefs and practices to neuroscience which will improve the wellbeing of the whole community. You will need to be highly relational, have a deep understanding of trauma‑responsive approaches and most importantly believe in the power of agentic learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Re‑establish a Belonging Hub within the school, a place where students feel safe, supported and understood. The purpose of which is to coregulate with students based on how our brains respond.
- Oversee a Teacher Aide who will operate out of the Belonging Hub.
- Responsible for the day‑to‑day operation of Breakfast Club which will be re‑established in 2026.
- Sound understanding of Restorative Practices to build staff capabilities.
- Deep knowledge of Dan Hughes PACE model, Amy Berry’s Engagement Continuum, Dr Bruce Perry, Dough Fisher.
- Lead PBL alongside the Deputy Principal and a small team of facilitators – particular focus on Tier 1 systems, expectations and implementation – elements you will coach in.
- Support the implementation of our Student Code of Conduct, changing from Classroom Management to Classroom Responsiveness (agency).
