An exciting opportunity exists for a full-time Teaching position, beginning Term 2, based at St Mary's Catholic Primary School, Darwin NT 0800, which is part of Catholic Education Northern Territory (CENT).

The Position

This role reports to the Deputy Principal. Teachers at St Mary's apply their professional knowledge and skills to ensure that students receive a high-quality Catholic education grounded in faith and excellence.

Their role is to provide education for students in Catholic schools through:

* The development, delivery and evaluation of teaching and learning programs
* Monitoring student achievement to address individual learning needs
* Contributing to the achievement of the school's mission

The teacher will liaise and coordinate activities within their teaching area and across the wider school community.

Key Responsibilities

* Engage in and support the sacramental, liturgical, ritual and prayer life of the school.
* Plan, prepare and explicitly deliver quality and effective teaching and learning programs which are consistent with the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers and relevant curriculum policies, ensuring that the teachings, values and practices of the Catholic Church form a foundation for learning and teaching.
* Support students through positive interactions, the development of supportive learning environments and effective behaviour management practices.
* Provide for the physical, social, cultural and emotional well-being and safety of students in your care at all times.
* Maintain student records and work samples; report on student performance to students, parents, the department and other stakeholders as required.
* Cultivate and nurture harmonious learning and work environments.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues and commit to professional growth and ongoing skill development.
* Establish and maintain strong relationships between the school, parents and the wider community.
* Actively participate in innovation and continuous improvement within the school and Catholic education.
