About The Role

As the Fire Safety and Emergency Management Advisor, you will deliver contemporary fire and emergency management programs. Some of the key accountabilities of the role are:

* Lead all aspects of customer liaison on behalf of WMH with QFES, including leading and coordinating Fire Safety Inspections and Triennial Inspections of health care facilities, as well as facilitating quality improvement processes for managing and resolving fire hazards and risks in the workplace.
* Coordinate, plan and develop fire safety resources, training, workshops, and presentations and deliver annual fire and evacuation drills for WMHS in compliance with legislation and Department of Health policy.
* Manage building fire safety requirements, inspections and audits of fire protection systems and equipment ensuring compliance with legislation and approved policy/guidelines and provide governance on rectification of identified issues.

About You

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

* Ability to manage fire systems and emergency management principles within a multidisciplinary environment.
* Ability to prioritise, organise and coordinate work activities and liaise with clinical and non-clinical staff at all levels of a large and diverse organisation.
* High level of interpersonal and communication skills across a range of disciplines.
* Proven performance in leading the implementation of quality improvement practices and organisational change.

Mandatory Requirements

* Current Fire Safety Advisor certification or the ability to obtain certification.
* It is a condition of employment for this role for the employee to be, and remain, vaccinated against the following vaccine preventable diseases during their employment as required by Health Employment Directive No. 01/16 measles, mumps, rubella, varicella (chicken pox), pertussis (whooping cough).
