2 x full-time position (Certificate III or Diploma)
Full-time educators – 8 hours per day (including paid lunch break), 5 days a week.
Includes RDO's, annual leave, personal leave, paid lunch breaks – 45 minutes, TIL for any out-of-hours meeting or staff development in-services; all staff development paid by the service; all programmes to be completed within work hours.
ECEC funding 15%
Qualifications
Certificate III in Children's Services or Diploma in Children's Service
Diploma in Children's Services (ACECQA) or Certificate III in Children's Services (ACECQA approved)
Up-to-date First Aid, Asthma, Anaphylaxis (within 3 years) & CPR (within 12 months)
Child Protection qualifications (CHCPRT025) within 12 months or child-protection refresher within the past 12 months
Up-to-date food-handling course, compliance with Standard 3.2.2A
Recent infectious-disease course
NSW Working with Children Check
Police check within 6 months
Declaration of disciplinary and investigative history
Jesmond Early Education Centre Inc is a not-for-profit community based long day-care centre catering up to 50 places.
Our service is committed to the quality care of children aged from 6 weeks through to school age.
Essential for Early Childhood
Experience and knowledge of National Quality Framework and assessment and rating
Knowledge of the Children's Services Regulations and the Children's Law Regulation in NSW Childcare
Experience with the Early Years Learning Framework
Understanding of child-protection legislation and commitment to child safety
Demonstrate ability to provide a developmentally appropriate programme for children aged 0-6 years
Demonstrate critical self-reflection through daily practices, small groups & individual observation aged 0-6 years
Maintain and keep up-to-date observations of children's development & maintain portfolios
Proven ability to work effectively in a team
Communicate positively and openly with director, staff, children and families
