Mine Geologist – Underground
Group 6 Metals is seeking an experienced Underground Mine Geologist to join our Mining team at the Dolphin Tungsten Mine in Grassy, King Island. This is a rare opportunity to work in a high‐grade tungsten operation while living or FIFO'ing to one of Australia's most unique locations.

About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Mine Geologist, you will be responsible for daily underground mapping, production monitoring, sampling, geological data interpretation and updating grade control models. You'll work closely with Mine Engineers, Survey and Operations to support mine planning, reconcile production, and contribute to extending the life of mine through exploration and modelling.
Key Responsibilities
Geology & Production
* Daily underground mapping and supervision of mining activities
* Sampling underground headings and stockpiles
* Collate and interpret geological data for grade control and resource modelling
* Document and depict geological features
* Production reporting and mine‐to‐mill reconciliation
* Support mine scheduling and planning studies
Geotechnical
* Conduct geotechnical inspections as required
* Identify hazards and ensure work areas are safe
About You
Qualifications
* Tertiary qualification in Geology
Skills & Experience
* Minimum 3 years' experience as a Geologist
* Knowledge of sampling, assay and QAQC methodologies
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Surpac experience preferred
* Strong communication skills and a team‐oriented approach

* Experience working in underground mining environments
* Open class driver's license
* High attention to detail
* Able to adapt quickly to changing priorities
