About the Role
ConnectSydney, a dynamic joint venture between Service Stream, Boral and Johnson Controls, will be delivering the Sydney Road Assets Performance Contract for the Harbour Zone in metropolitan Sydney. We are looking for talented, motivated and driven individuals to join the team who will be committed to delivering innovative, customer-focused and sustainable outcomes whilst also establishing a positive legacy for our customers and community.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Administrator to join our business. The Finance Administrator will be responsible for various administration/ finance and accounting tasks to ensure accurate and timely reporting. Account for and process financial statements and reports under supervision to accurately reflect the company's financial results and ensure compliance with applicable regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Process invoices and other accounts documentation in accordance with company procedures, which may involve checking and confirming liability for payment, obtaining authorisations for payment and allocating expenditure to correct budget accounts.
- Process weekly payroll for wages workers
- Checking and reporting variations between invoiced amounts and payments received and verifying discounts or rebates taken.
- Prepare journal entries and effect trial balances as required, which may involve carrying out general banking duties and extracting statistical data from records for analysis;
- Collating data for end-of-month purposes,
- Cost reporting and other ad-hoc finance tasks
- Assist with the preparation of Head Contract and Subcontract claims/variations, forecasting and accruals
About You
- Certificate III in accounting/finance/bookkeeping or any other related discipline
- Comprehensive experience in a related finance clerk or similar role, and/or knowledge of computer-based accounting systems.
- Experience and / or knowledge of company policies, practices and personnel in order to effectively carry out responsibilities.
