**The Role**
As the Data Analytics and Systems Analyst, you will play an integral part in ensuring staff are getting the full benefit of our Workforce, People, Payroll and business systems data, as well as play a key role in systems implementation and process automation.
This role will report to the project manager ensuring high levels of engagement with stakeholders, project managers, developers and external vendors.
You will be knowledgeable on implementing software, process mapping and the rollout of change.
**Main Duties and Responsibilities**
- Be the central point and coordinator of the people performance reporting house
- Identify and present information and insights into business units' people operations that measure areas of success which are relevant to that unit
- Present general performance insights that a relevant across all business units
- Observe trends in data and recommend people and operational changes to deliver better business outcomes
- Seek recommendations from People & Culture colleagues, as well we operations team members to continually develop the analytics and insights function
- Build structures to easily observe trends in data and recommend people and operational changes to deliver better business outcomes
- Assist the GMPSP to deliver the People Systems & Performance Strategy
- Sell the ability of the People & Culture team to the business
- Advocate process automation within the people team, as well as throughout the business, where commercially viable and with a demonstrated ROI for major initiatives
- Promote a culture of inquisitiveness and investigation to resolve known and foreseen business challenges, including but not limited to the use of predictive analytics, machine learning and artificial intelligence
- Participate in a cross-functional business intelligence team compromising of relevant stakeholders from all areas of the business to promote data sharing and standardisation
**Knowledge and Experience**:
- Minimum 3 years plus experience people systems, human resources and reporting
- Experience in using people systems to extract meaningful insights for stakeholders
- Demonstrated experience in business requirements gathering workshop facilitation, process mapping and documentation
- Experience in training and coaching delivery, as well as identifying individual or group based skills deficiencies
- Track record of delivering to tight timelines
**Skills and Competencies**:
- Ability to work in a political environment with competing or conflicting priorities
- Advanced MS Excel, including VBA skills for macros, complex pivot tables and dashboards
- Power BI or another BI tool experience
