Principal Recruitment Consultant at PRA - Recruiting all things Data, AI and Architecture
An education-focused organisation is seeking a talented and detail-oriented BI Developer to design and deliver insightful Power BI reports and dashboards that support strategic decision-making across the business.
This is a great opportunity for a proactive professional who enjoys solving complex data challenges, building intuitive reporting tools, and working with a collaborative and purpose-driven team.
What you'll do
* Develop and maintain high-quality Power BI dashboards, with a strong focus on data modelling and DAX .
* Build robust and scalable data models across varied data sources.
* Migrate legacy reports into Power BI, streamlining and automating reporting workflows.
* Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and solve reporting or data issues with creative, practical solutions.
* Administer the Power BI service, including refresh scheduling, access controls, and service reliability.
* Leverage tools across the MSBI stack and Azure Data Services as required.
What we're looking for
* Excellent problem-solving skills - able to investigate, troubleshoot and resolve data challenges.
* Strong experience in Power BI development, including DAX and advanced data modelling.
* Proficiency with data integration and transformation tools (e.g. SSIS, Azure Data Factory).
* Comfortable working with large datasets and multiple source systems.
* Strong communication skills and ability to explain data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
* Experience working in education or public sector environments is a bonus, but not essential.
