The role
We're seeking a hands-on Production Manager to lead and drive performance across our Hebel site in Somersby-someone who can deliver results through their team, streamline operations, and build a high-performance culture, while navigating the realities of complex production without compromising the workplace culture.
Reporting to the incoming Operations Manager, you'll lead a team of supervisors and operators, ensuring production targets are consistently met, quality standards are upheld, and continuous improvement is embedded into daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:
You've run manufacturing operations, led people through change, and understand what high performance really looks like on the floor.
You will:
* Lead the production team to consistently meet site production targets with a strong focus on safety and quality
* Build capability across team leaders and supervisors to drive accountability and performance
* Champion continuous improvement initiatives and embed lean manufacturing principles
* Drive a high-performance culture grounded in clear expectations, ownership, and follow-through
* Work as part of a multifunctional site leadership team, collaborating closely with Engineering, Quality, Customer Service, Sales, and HR
* Develop and execute continuous improvement plans across production and operations
* Address people performance issues head-on-productivity, attendance, behaviour, and engagement
* Coach, mentor, and develop your leaders to lift standards across the board
* Maintain a strong customer focus, using feedback to improve outcomes and relationships
* Lead safety initiatives with a zero-harm mindset and ensure full WHSE compliance
About you
* Experience in a high-performing manufacturing or FMCG environment (essential)
* Proven leadership in complex operational settings
* The ability to drive efficiency, accountability, and cultural improvement
* Strong problem-solving capability and a practical, common-sense approach
* Experience managing teams of leaders-not just operators
* Exposure to capital works or project management (ideal, not essential)
* Solid commercial awareness and financial acumen (ideal)
* Engineering, Manufacturing, or Process-related tertiary qualification (preferred, not mandatory)
We're prepared to be flexible on industry background if you've led comparable operations and can demonstrate results.
What we offer
We strive to support your professional and personal growth. Here are some of the perks you'll enjoy as part of the CSR team:
* Attractive salary and benefits, including access to exclusive discounts and offers.
* Supportive and collaborative culture that fosters innovation and inclusion. You'll be surrounded by talented colleagues who are passionate about their work and committed to helping each other succeed.
* Care and wellbeing offer includes up to 14 weeks of paid parental leave, 52 weeks of superannuation payment, and access to an employee assistance program.
