Finance Specialist Opportunity
About The Role
You will lead day-to-day financial operations, manage budgets and grants, payroll and compliance while working in a collaborative environment that prioritizes the health and wellbeing of people and animals in remote Indigenous communities.
* Key Responsibilities:
o Manage financial operations: Oversee payroll, accounts payable and receivable, budgeting, BAS, FBT, PAYG, super, and compliance.
o Support decision-making: Provide timely insights to help the team stay focused and accountable.
o Maintain systems: Improve Xero and financial processes across the organisation.
o Prepare for success: Support grant acquittals, audits and reporting.
o Cultivate collaboration: Work cross-culturally and contribute to a values-aligned team.
o Make finance approachable: Help build understanding of financial systems across a non-finance audience.
Requirements
Skills and Qualifications:
* Financial operations experience: including budgets, payroll, BAS, PAYG, super, and reporting.
* Xero proficiency: a strong working knowledge of accounting software.
* Attention to detail: interpreting financial data clearly.
* Effective communication: engaging with colleagues on complex financial topics.
* Cultural respect: collaborating with diverse teams and stakeholders.
