The Roles
The Town of Port Hedland is currently seeking passionate and motivated casual employees to become part of our vibrant Port Hedland Leisure Team. If you're dedicated to helping others achieve their fitness goals and making a meaningful impact in the community, we want to hear from you
Gym Instructors: You will provide high-quality gym instruction to individuals of all ages and fitness levels, conducting fitness assessments, creating personalised training programs, and offering ongoing guidance and motivation. Your role will help foster a positive fitness culture and promote health in the Port Hedland community. Relevant qualifications required include:
* Certificate III in Fitness or equivalent.
Group Fitness Instructor: You will lead engaging group fitness classes, design programs for diverse abilities, and collaborate on program development and timetable adjustments. This role offers an opportunity to enhance your group fitness expertise while positively impacting the local community's health and well-being. Relevant qualifications required include:
* Group Exercise Leader (GEL) or Cert III in Fitness or equivalent.

Work Related Requirements
The preferred applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol assessment to be considered for the role, as well as possess:
* National Police Clearance
* Working with children check (or willing to obtain)
* Current first aid % CPR (or willing to obtain)
* Current 'C' class driver's license
* Rights to work in Australia
