We're our clients' outsourced marketing department. Now we need a designer who gets that.
At Racket, design isn't decoration. It's how strategy becomes something people actually see, feel and respond to. Every asset we build, whether it's a paid social creative, a brand system, an eDM or brand collateral, is connected to a commercial outcome for a real client with real goals. We're looking for a mid-weight designer to join our studio and help us keep the quality bar exactly where it should be: high.
The role
This is a hands‐on role for a designer who's past the early learning curve and ready to run with briefs independently. You'll work across a diverse portfolio of clients spanning different industries, producing design that's sharp, considered and built to perform, not just look good in a folio.
You'll collaborate closely with our creative director, account managers, copywriters and performance team and you'll be the kind of person who brings ideas to the table, not just executes what's handed to them. This role sits in our Richmond studio two days a week, with flexibility the rest of the time.
What you'll be doing
* Producing design across digital, brand, social, print, web and everything in between, from campaign creative to catalogue layouts to eDMs, to a consistently high standard across multiple clients and briefs at once.
* Interpreting briefs accurately and intelligently, understanding what a client is actually trying to achieve and translating that into work that earns its place in market.
* Collaborating with copywriters, strategists and account managers to bring ideas to life, contributing to creative concepts, not just executing them.
* Taking jobs from inception to finished art with minimal hand‐holding, managing your own time and priorities in a fast‐moving studio environment.
* Staying across design trends, platform best practices and what's actually working in digital and bringing that knowledge back to the team.
Who we're looking for
You're a creative all‐rounder with at least three years of design experience across multiple brands and sectors. You're not just technically proficient; you think about why something works, not just how it looks. You're fast without cutting corners, collaborative without needing to be managed, and genuinely curious about the businesses you're designing for.
You'll bring strong expertise across Adobe Creative Suite and Figma, demonstrated experience in both campaign and editorial design, and a solid foundation in brand, including building out design systems and guidelines. Digital design fluency and some familiarity with UX principles will set you apart.
Agency experience is a plus. If you already know what it means to juggle multiple clients, multiple briefs and multiple stakeholders at once and you find that energising rather than exhausting, you'll fit right in.
Why Racket?
We're an ambitious, fast‐moving agency with a strong client portfolio and a culture that people actually want to be part of. We care about the quality of the work and the quality of the environment people do it in, those aren't in tension here, they go together.
* Hybrid flexibility, two days in our Richmond studio, the rest of the week is yours to structure.
* Allocated weekly professional development time to sharpen your craft and stay ahead of the industry.
* Monthly half‐day Fridays, because finishing early and actually switching off matters.
* Monthly team rewards including lunches and Uber Eats on us.
