Job Summary
We are looking for a Systems Engineer with strong Linux administration expertise along with experience managing developer tooling platforms.
Responsibilities
* Provide L2 and L3 support for Linux systems primarily in RHEL environments.
* Administer and support Git platforms including access management and repository governance.
* Manage and support enterprise tools used by engineering and operations teams.
* Perform system administration including patching, upgrades, performance tuning and troubleshooting.
* Participate in a 24/7 on‐call rotation and respond to critical incidents.
* Collaborate with datacenter teams and visit the Brisbane datacenter for hardware and troubleshooting support.
* Automate tasks using Python, PowerShell or shell scripting.
* Ensure compliance with security patching and operational standards.
* Maintain documentation, runbooks and SOPs.
* Work with infrastructure, network, security and application teams.
Qualifications
* Strong experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) administration.
* Experience managing Git platforms such as GitHub, GitLab or Bitbucket.
* Experience supporting enterprise tools and developer platforms.
* Experience in scripting and automation using Python and PowerShell.
* Understanding of Linux internals, file systems, permissions and processes.
* Experience in production support environments with SLAs.
* Basic networking knowledge including DNS and TCP/IP.

On‐Call and Shift Expectations
Our positions are primarily focused on managed services, meaning you will be responsible for maintaining and improving our clients' IT systems (Applications and Infrastructure). Flexibility and adaptability are key, and you may be required to work in shifts to provide continuous support. Additionally, you may need to be on call to address incidents promptly and perform after‐hours deployment activities as needed.
