Job Description:
We are seeking a proactive and experienced maintenance professional to join our operations. This hands-on leadership role will support the development of large-scale farming systems by maintaining farm plant and equipment, leading repairs, and contributing to the design and improvement of machinery and infrastructure.
* Maintain and repair farm plant and equipment to minimize downtime
* Develop a workshop maintenance plan and documentation
* Lead the safe and timely delivery of workshop and field maintenance tasks
* Assist in the design, modification, and installation of new and existing farming equipment
* Protect and maintain company assets across multiple farm sites
* Contribute to maintenance budgets and capital expenditure planning
* Support safety systems, processes, and training in line with WHS requirements
* Act as a role model for safe and ethical work behavior
* Supervise or work independently across various farm locations
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Certificate III or higher in an engineering trade (mechanical)
* At least 5 years of relevant trade experience, ideally in an agricultural setting
* Strong skills in plant maintenance, troubleshooting, and fabrication
* Experience with farm irrigation systems, GPS, and machinery (preferred)
* Sound computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
* Current C-class driver's license
* Forklift license (required)
* Additional tickets (crane, loader, rigger/dogger) are advantageous
