Job Description
The role of the Group Payroll Officer involves ensuring payroll and finance functions are performed efficiently and effectively. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate records, processing payroll information, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
* Payroll Maintenance: Processing of payroll related information for new employees, including details regarding personal particulars, taxation, pay rate terms, bank accounts, superannuation and general ledger costing.
* Fortnightly Payroll Processing: Compilation and review of employee time sheet summaries from each club and preparation for processing.
* Month End Payroll Procedures: Preparation, review and distribution of standard monthly payroll reports.
Additional Responsibilities
* Regulatory Compliance and Reporting: Processing of employee superannuation choice details and remittance of monthly superannuation payments and superannuation fund data interfaces.
* Payroll Tax: Preparation of monthly payroll tax returns and submission of annual reconciliations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Requirements include proficiency in spreadsheets and databases, strong computer literacy, and experience with Employment Hero, Microsoft Office, and MYOB accounting software.
