ICT Customer Support Officer

About The Role
Reporting to the ICT Manager, the ICT Customer Support Officer will provide day-to-day technical support, guidance, and assistance in the deployment, maintenance, and ongoing operation of computer systems and infrastructure. The role focuses on diagnosing and resolving ICT-related issues to ensure the efficient use of applications, hardware, and equipment across the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Providing first- and second-level ICT support for software, hardware, and systems
* Diagnosing and resolving technical issues related to computer infrastructure and applications
* Determining software and hardware requirements to deliver effective technical solutions
* Responding to user inquiries regarding software, hardware, and system performance
* Installing, configuring, and maintaining approved software and applications
* Adapting existing programs to meet user and operational requirements
* Ensuring efficient and effective use of ICT applications and equipment
* Designing, updating, and maintaining websites as required
* Repairing and replacing peripheral equipment, including printers, terminals, and modems
* Maintaining accurate records of support requests and resolutions
* Supporting networked environments and ICT infrastructure as required
* Operating in a help desk or call-centre environment where applicable
Skills and Experience
To Be Considered, You Will Have
* Proven experience in an ICT support, help desk, or systems support role
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities
* Sound knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and business applications
* Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users
* A strong customer service mindset
* Experience with website maintenance and basic web technologies (advantageous)
Qualifications
* Relevant qualification in Information Technology or a related discipline, or
* Equivalent hands-on experience aligned to the ICT Customer Support Officer role
