Your opportunity

Randstad is seeking a highly competent and discreet Administration Officer to provide comprehensive and professional administrative support to a large State Government client and their wider team. This critical team provides financial management, planning, advice, and rigorous reporting, ensuring the financially sustainable and effective utilisation of public monies.

Your contribution: This role is integral to the efficient operation of the Division, focusing on:

* Executive Office Management: Provide professional, timely, and confidential administrative support to the Executive Director, managing all aspects of the day-to-day office operations, including complex calendar management, correspondence tracking (predominantly email), and maintaining organised electronic records.
* Administrative and Operational Support: Facilitate essential team functions such as the procurement of office supplies and minor equipment, managing processes for ICT system access, Government identification, and building access, utilising the Microsoft Office suite and other internal systems efficiently.
* Process and System Oversight: Serve as a key resource for the team by providing support, training, and coordination for internal processes related to recruitment, payroll, and timesheet management. Review and progress associated documentation and inquiries.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Contribute actively to the network of Administration Support personnel across the Network Services and Operations Division and take a leading role in the coordination of team activities while consistently demonstrating and promoting positive team values and culture.

Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will demonstrate a proven track record in providing senior-level administrative support, possess exceptional organisational and communication skills, and maintain the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism. Previous government experience is highly preferred.
