Synergie Australia is seeking APS4 Service Desk Officers for a Federal Government client, supporting a national program within a high-impact service delivery environment. The Important parts: Pay: $55 – $60 per hour Super Duration: 6-month contract potential 6-month extension Hours: Monday – Friday | 37.5 hours per week Location: Multiple locations including Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra & more (hybrid flexibility available) What you will be required to do: You’ll be working within a busy ICT/service desk function, supporting a new case management system rollout. This role is highly stakeholder-facing and requires strong problem-solving, communication, and prioritisation skills. • Responding to service desk queries from internal users, clients, and external providers • Troubleshooting system access, technical, and administrative issues • Managing and resolving tickets, including escalation where required • Monitoring shared inboxes and prioritising requests effectively • Creating and updating user profiles and system access • Supporting onboarding of staff and contractors into the system • Assisting with system improvements and identifying process efficiencies • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with government processes To be successful in the role you will: • Have prior experience in an ICT Service Desk or Helpdesk environment • Ideally have experience with Salesforce or similar CRM systems • Demonstrate strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities • Be comfortable working in a fast-paced, ticket-based environment • Have excellent communication skills (written and verbal) • Be highly organised with strong attention to detail • Demonstrate a proactive, solutions-focused mindset Mandatory requirements: • Must be an Australian Citizen (required for all APS roles) • Ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline Security Clearance • Willingness to complete a National Criminal History Check prior to commencement What’s on offer for you: • Opportunity to work within the Australian Federal Government • Exposure to a large-scale national program and system implementation • Supportive team environment with structured processes • Potential for extension based on performance and business needs • Hybrid working arrangements available Synergie Australia delivers a full 360º recruitment solution, consisting of temporary and permanent recruitment services, and more.
