About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Asset Manager to oversee the management of Council assets, ensuring their efficient use and optimal performance. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Developing and implementing asset management frameworks, policies, and strategies based on best practices
* Promoting asset management as an organization-wide activity, fostering collaboration and shared responsibility among departments
* Establishing clear roles and responsibilities for asset management within the organization
* Cultivating relationships with stakeholders, including asset custodians and engineers, to align asset planning with community, service, financial, social, and environmental goals
* Overseeing the development and review of Infrastructure & Asset Management Plans, ensuring alignment with Council's strategic objectives
The ideal candidate will possess:
* A tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Project Management, Asset Management, or a related field
* At least 5 years of relevant experience in managing major engineering assets and projects
* A Class "C" NSW Driver's Licence
* Experience with asset management compliance, ISO 55000, and change management
* Knowledge of asset management frameworks and software systems
