**Job Description**:
You will be responsible for the organisation and completion of required field work in the Pilbara region and surrounding areas, and to conduct routine soil, water and air analysis and deliver quality and timely laboratory results.
Some other responsibilities include:
**Field**
- Collect samples as per the schedule, including Potable Water, Waste Water, Sewage Water, Soil and Hygiene samples.
- Ensure the sampling schedule is adhered to and the work completed on time.
- Prepare daily field reports and ensure they are submitted within 24hours of sampling.
- Maintenance of all sampling and field equipment.
- Perform all required QC checks and collect required QC samples as requested.
- Build and maintain good working relationships with all clients.
- Arrange all field consumables, sampling media and equipment as required for each job.
- Prepare Job Safety Analysis' (JSA's) and risk assessments as required for each allocated job.
- Liaise with clients to make site arrangements and to ensure all required equipment is taken on site in accordance with the proposal and the client's expectations.
**Laboratory**
- Undertake routine preparations and analysis of soil and water samples.
- Ensure equipment and laboratory is kept clean to avoid contamination, and to protect company assets'.
- Carry out scheduled instrument calibration and maintenance in accordance with written procedures.
- Understand and adapt general laboratory QA/QC criteria and NATA accreditation requirements.
- Ensure that safety and personal protective equipment (PPE) is used correctly and when necessary.
**Qualifications**:
- Degree Qualifications in Chemistry, Environmental Science or other relevant fields.
- Demonstrable technical skills within the mining sector with previous experience as a Field Sampling Technician.
- Previous experience in customer service and liaising with clients.
- C class manual licence
- 4WD training
- Senior First Aid
